I like this authors collage because it shows emotions, it shows a women crying but by the outside she is just like a flower, her personality is shown as flowers.

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC MAGAZINE COVER REVIEW:

I choose this magazine cover because it is going to talk about the city of Los Angeles, I just know it would be interest.

From this article we can learn the culture of India and by seeing the cover we can get an idea of what it is.

We can get an idea of what the article is gong to talk about just by seeing the cover of the magazine, also the cover of the magazine is similar to photography because by just one picture we have to et the audience attention to see our work or in this case to read the article.

CULTURAL PHOTOGRAPHY: READ AND RESPOND:

The article talks about cultural photography and talking about how to find your work in photography. Describing what type of photography you are and your work, finding what most you like and would like to photograph. It also talks about the  author Adam Marili find his way of knowing that he like to take pictures of culture. Cultural anthropology is describe as “the branch of anthropology focused on the study of cultural variation among humans and is in contrast to social anthropology which perceives cultural variation as a subset of the anthropology constants, and a variety of methods are part of anthropological methodology, including participant observation, interviews, and surveys.

Also, it describes how National Geographic won’t do block and white basically saying how Elizabeth Kristi said that “from time to time they did run black and white, but it was rare but felt that the project deserved to be in the format in which it was conceived”. When she realize that while National Geographic had been a childhood inspiration, something she was looking in cultural exposure, it was limited by the visual constraints of the editorial world. She also said how “culture i snot limited to being photographed in color and thus, I saw my work as maybe having some overlaps with them, but being different enough to warrant a new title”.

When it comes to clearly defining a term is a fluid, Elizabeth wanted a lay out a frame work that we can use moving forward. Elizabeth say “it might not answer every condition that will arise in cultural photography but it will give us a solid starting point for developing it further in the future”. Finally, she clarify that her intentions with this is nor only to shed some light on on certain projects but also to give a space for other photographers who share this ambition under an umbrella that unifies our approaches, without limiting differences in how it might express itself.

CREATE A WORK IN THE STYLE OF SANDY SKOGLUND:

Adventures in the office

I like Sandy Skoglund work because her style is unique, she has ideas out of this world and the most incredible thing of her is how she does her art in real person by doing every single detail of her idea. I like this picture of her work that is call “Revenge of the goldfish”, I like her idea and her title because it is unique how you are not going to see fishes flying in the room but you are going to see fishes in a table in the room. I got inspire by this picture to do my work because you are not going to see fishes in an office and neither sitting down in a chair and I decide to call it “adventures in the office” because is like you enter an office and you see fishes flying that is an adventure.

HDR Photography;

For my projects, I did a good job because I was able to get a good sunset and a sunrise that is why they call like that. The sunrise, I took it one morning while I was in tutoring and what is down I took it with a camera. The second picture I took it when I was in practice and the sunset it looks like those type of sunsets that are in the beach. I give my work a 8/10 because I feel like I could have done better with the editing or to put it more light in the pictures. After all, my pictures are not that bad.

Second was my middle sister, my middle sister meet Mrs. Rodriguez two years after my older sister and Mrs. Rodriguez and my sister just had hours of fun talking. Finally, I was the last person to meet Mrs. Rodriguez and I also had her for one of my classes just like my sister because Mrs. Rodriguez teach ELD and ALD, but I connect with my Mrs. Rodriguez because she was nice to meet and her class was fun and with time I became her favorite student because I finish my work before everyone else and I was always quiet. Now that this is my last year, I still tell her how my niece and my sisters are and what are they doing now and she is always happy to listen to me and I always go to her class to help her with touring or last year when we came back in May, I always came to her six period because she needed help translating and I was always happy to help her with anything I can.

Social And Political Issues in Art:

For my topic I choose racism, there is many racism situations. For example, racism of color skin, racism of women and men’s equally, racisms of Latinos, etc. I choose racism of color skin, because this was a problem few months ago that even protest began. I feel like this problem has been through decades but at last it has gone better since then. This topic is very important and if it was not for the protests it would continue the same without any solution. I feel like my poster clear says the topic just that it is not that good editing, but for my topic it explains it clearly.

Photomontage; where you see yourself in 10 years:

In 10 years, I see myself graduating university and becoming a psychology for adolescents and I see myself traveling once I have the opportunity. I also want to take my mom to travel and buy her everything she needs, I just want to make her proud and happy.  I put pictures graduating and pictures of psychologist and pictures of traveling, my most dream is to travel and to go away of the stress I would go through my university years.
